• Salatul `Eid– The `Eid Salat will be conducted on Thursday, September the 9^th or Friday, September the 10^th , insha Allah and  will be  held this year at the MVP Sports which is located at 32^nd and Lake Eastbrook Blvd., Kentwood, MI 49512.  This is the same location that we used last year, which is right around the corner from the Masjid.  The takbirs will begin at 8:30 am and the Salat at 9:00am, with the `Eid khutbah given by Sheikh Morsy following directly thereafter, insha Allah.  Please be mindful of the adhab of the salah which calls for us to sit and listen to the khutbah until the Imam is finished.  Activities for the children and the families will start after the Salat at the same location, insha Allah.
• Zakatul Fitr – Zakatul Fitr this year is $10.00 per family member and is due before Salatul `Eid is prayed.  Collection slots have been allocated on the safes in the men’s and women’s hallways for this purpose.  For further information, see Sheikh Morsy, Bro. Kamal or Sis. Norillah on the Zakat Committee.
• Ramadhan – As we are in the last ten nights of Ramadhan, with tonight being the 25^th night, we seek Allah’s mercy by granting us freedom from the Jahannam. Amin. Please try to spend some time in the Masjid in `itikaf especially on these odd numbered nights as we search for Lailatul Qadr, insha Allah.  We also have Salatul Tahajjud every morning at 2:00 am and we are all encouraged to forsake some of our sleep time for this most recommended act of ibadah, insha Allah.   
• Ramadhan Activities For the Youth –We are in the final rounds of the Jeopardy and Quran competitions for the children, with the conclusion to take place on Saturday, the 4^th, insha Allah.  Please see the bulletin boards for updated informationorso see Bro. Ismail Lubis or Sis. Norillah Diman, insha Allah.
• Membership Drive – The annual membership drive is now open and forms are available at both mens and womens entrances.  Completed forms should be placed in the boxes located next to the safes, insha Allah.  
• Salah and Saum Session –There will be a special study group led by Sheikh Morsy during the month of Ramadhan on how to pray and how to fast.  This is directed towards the new Muslim or to those who would like to gain some benefit from this useful knowledge, insha Allah.  The Halaqa will be every Saturday after Salatul Dhuhr, insha Allah.
• Construction Update – With just some minor rough-in work left, the next project that our limited funds will allow for us to start is a portion of the landscaping.  Next Thursday, the 9^th, we will have some trees and shrubs delivered, which will have to be planted, insha Allah.  We are asking for volunteers to help plant.  See Bro. Ali Metwalli or Bro. Kamal Nuriddin to sign up, insha Allah.
• Aqiqah – Bro. Abdullahi Hussain and Sis. Shamsu will be celebrating the birth of their son, Mohammed, on Saturday the 4^th at the time of Iftar at the hall right next door to the Masjid, insha Allah.  All are invited to come out and break the fast and help celebrate the arrival of the newest member of our community.
• Project Downtown – Every Saturday at 1:00 pm in front of the Guiding Light Mission on Division just north of Wealthy.  Contact Sis. Debbie, Sis. Norillah or Bro. Kamal to donate or to volunteer to feed/clothe the needy.
