- Construction Update – Kitchen Sink installation - next week, Installation of fire extinguishers – soon, Paint touch-ups - next week. We are planning to apply for permit in two weeks ISA. For further updates or information, contact Dr. Ali Metwalli.
- Festival of the Arts – Downtown Grand Rapids on June 3rd, 4th and 5th, insha Allah. Signup to volunteer and make this another successful event for the Masjid. A cookout before Festival is being planned. For further details, contact Bro. Ismail Lubis or Bro. Mukhtar Ahmed.
- Clothing Sale - A Pakistani sister plans to sell good quality clothing to help the flood victim/the poor in Pakistan. She needs our supports. She will be selling the clothing outside the Masjid on Fri, May 13. (Next week). Bring cash or checks.
- Women’s announcement - Leaving/donating any old/used clothing/scarves at the women shoe room is NOT allowed. We have problem with overflowed unwanted old scarves! If somebody wants to donate brand new scarves please contact the Masjid’s administrator.
- Newborn Baby - Congratulations to Br. Norein and wife for their newborn baby boy, Jibreel. Both baby and mother are healthy, alhamdulillah. They are now still in Colorado.
- Adult Arabic Classes – Beginning Arabic with Sheikh Morsy every Tuesday between Salatul Maghrib and Salatul Isha, insha Allah. Basic reading class conducted by Bro. Aiman Islam Mueller every Saturday after Salatul Asr, insha Allah. The next session starts tomorrow, Saturday May 7th, inshaAllah.
- Iqamah Times – Until further notice, the Iqamah will be at 30 minutes after the Adhan of Salatul Fajr, 15 minutes after the Adhan of Salatul Dhuhr and Salatul Asr, and 10 minutes after the Adhan of Salatul Maghrib and Isha, insha Allah.
- Al Huda Weekend School - Classes are on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM until Salatul Dhuhr. For further information or updates please contact the school principal, Bro. Haneef Muhammad.
- Arabic Translator Needed – Volunteers needed to do translation work for an Iraqi family who will be in Grand Rapids next week for an indeterminate amount of time. If you are able to help out, please see Bro. Aly Mageed
- Advertisements – If you would like to advertise your business, service, items for sale or rent, items wanted or needed, etc. contact Bro. Ismail Lubis. Anything posted on or around the notice area without authorization will be taken down and discarded.
- Family Prayer – Every Saturday morning at Salatul Fajr. Bring the whole family out for Salah and a brief dars by Sheikh Morsy. This Saturday (May 7th), Salatul Fajr will be at 5:30 AM, insha Allah.
- Daily Classes with Sheikh Morsy – Fridays (Fiqh), Saturdays (Tafseer), Sundays (Tajweed) and Wednesdays (Seerah). All of these short classes will take place between Salatul Maghrib and Salatul Isha, insha Allah.
- Sister’s Halaqah – Every Thursday at the Masjid from 12:30 PM until Salatul Dhuhr with Sheikh Morsy. Good opportunity to bond with your sisters in a format consisting of a short dars, tajweed, fiqh issues and questions and answers. Sisters Only.
- Project Downtown – Every Saturday at 1:00 pm in front of the Guiding Light Mission on Division just north of Wealthy. Contact Sis. Debbie, Sis. Norillah or Bro. Alen to donate or to volunteer.
